Where Can You Relax?

Beating your body up at P3 can be a great stress relief from our busy days, but where can you go to find a place to relax? I am looking forward to this week’s WLC bonus of spending 10 minutes being mindful, yet I still have to find a place where I can sit quietly for that short amount of time. I know that I will have to turn off both my phones, laptop and be in a separate room from each of those devices.

Is Pedro D being mindful or is he playing dead?

Where are you planning to find a peaceful 10 minutes to relax every day this week? What are you going to have to turn off, shut down or put to bed before you can begin to think about relaxing?

I am finding I need to do it when the majority of the other humans are out of the house. I find I have to find a position, such that the small of my back is relaxed on the floor, it helps. This is going to take practice.

Early, early in the morning before phones, TV and humans are awake. Its a wonderful time of the day – Especially now since I wake up feeling good and energetic.

I’ve been using my lunch-time break. I’ll shut my door, turn all my devices on silent and put them away. Today I’m upping the ante and plan to follow it with a power nap :)

I started this on the weekend and I’ve tried to be opportunistic. While traveling, I found a quiet green space outside and laid down. Sunday was crazy (I should have found the ten minutes first thing but didn’t), so I took the 10 minutes between the airplane taking off and reaching cruising altitude (just long enough for no announcements). Today I think I will close my door at work for ten minutes-probably my best bet for this week otherwise it ends up being bedtime before I know it!

These are all great places/methods! I’m glad to hear that we are able to find the time to get in this simple task. Last night I realized I hadn’t been “mindful” yet so I laid down in a quiet room with the lights off and 10 minutes set on the timer. 10 minutes later I woke up from the deepest power nap, took a shower and went to bed. Today my goal is to stay awake the whole 10 minutes.
