This kicked my a$$. I want a rematch with the Bear.

Well, sometime, but not right now.

  2. Bruce D says:

    I agree, Anthony!! LOL

  3. PC says:

I also want a rematch with the Bear.

  4. Maureen says:

    Me too!

  5. Heide says:

Me too.. and thanks Anthony for getting me through that last set!

  6. Mike Ma says:

I’m in for a rematch. Although, setting the PVC pipe on my back today for the warmups was painful – I guess that’s what you get for dropping a barbell repeatedly on your spine after squat clean thrusters yesterday. Bring on FGB tomorrow!

John – that video is frickin hilarious.

  7. Dan says:

It sounds like there are a few of you out there ready for another go at the Bear. Yesterday was my first time and I now have an understanding for what it feels like and I am ready for the next time we do this complex.

Mike – I’m glad you enjoyed the video and that you are ready for the big Fight tomorrow morning!

I love the bear. Heavy and brutal…for those of you wondering, the last time I remember doing the bear was July 11th of last year. I looked at my previous bear weight and yesterday I lifted 30 lbs heavier. Id love to hear some more bear PR stories from you all! Cant wait to do it again!

  9. Haley says:

    Scratch that, July 8

  10. Margarita says:

I had to recruit a partner to fight the bear – AMBER!! I did 10 pounds above my last PR. I had a no-rep on the very last lift as the bear snuck up on me and kicked my a**!

  11. Haley says:

Margarita that is so awesome. yeah getting the bar off your back on the last rep is rough!

  12. Meagan says:

it is hard to come up with a plan of attack for this. should i of started 40 lbs lighter and then made a major jump in the end to get a high #, or did i go about it the right way?

i enjoyed the mental challenge because it got to the point where you would be so close to finishing a heavy set and didn’t knew you wouldn’t be able to start from scratch, meaning you couldn’t put it down.

i’m overall really happy with the way it ended. because she won’t toot her own horn, haley made a huge pr jump as well. i’m talking 20 lbs here!

i’m ready to try again and finish 5-10 lbs heavier

  13. Meagan says:

oh and ps- i wouldn’t have finished that last set if it weren’t for the great cheers in the gym. thanks everyone at the 6pm class! always a huge help
