I’ll be in Chicago that weekend…got any contacts where I can do FGB up there?

  2. laura s says:

Try CF chicago I’m sure they’re doing it!

  3. Ashlee says:

Just when I was getting pretty good at one of my weaknesses of FGB (wall ball), you go and change the rules on me! Went from a 226 to a 170, but fully RX, meaning I hit that damn 10′ mark each and every time! If it didn’t hit the line, it didn’t count (which sucked!!). But, my score did go up from my first FGB RX at Bayou City last year at least (I couldn’t hit the 10′ mark for the life of me), plus doing jumps instead of steps now. Guess instead of 250, I’ll bring my goal back down to 225 at first. Imma kick that 10′ marks ass!

So everybody is on the same page, I didn’t change the rules…

They are what they are, modifications to the standards/ RX’d movements.

I love hearing that you held yourself to that strict standard on your wall balls. Never let a judge be the one to discount your repetitions. I can’t wait to see you destroy that 10ft mark.

Good work Justin, not too shabby for your first go around with fgb

  6. Mike K says:

I think Justin’s judge worked at Enron on the accounting side and cooked the books in his favor. Nice work buddy you set the standard for September.

  7. Francis says:

After 100 consecutive workouts of playing 2nd fiddle (or 3rd, 4th, 5th…) to Tim F, the titan of the 5am class, I finally passed him on an individual workout. Then I see some joker from another class smoked us both (nice work Justin). How many achilles tendons do I have to slice to win one of these damned things?

Best thing about Crossfit: there is always somebody bigger, faster, or stronger to motivate you to work harder.

I was Ashlee’s judge of the wall balls and the 10′ mark – she INSISTED that I hold her to those strict standards. There were probably 20 wall balls that were ‘borderline’ that didn’t get counted. I love working with Ashlee. She works so hard – doesn’t care what anyone else does or thinks, and doesn’t get too caught up in the final score. Just pushes herself harder every time. Inspiring. I should have let her go first – I may have found some extra energy to push a little harder after watching her.

  9. Becky says:

I’m an idiot. I can only do like 2 10′ 14lb wall balls so I used the 10 lb ball instead but RX-ed everything else. Shoulda just settled for 2-3 RX-ed wall balls.
    damn damn damn damn damn.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! That was a great WOD, definitely surprised myself, those three hits of crack right before really helped out ;) I’m just afraid I might have set my personal bar too high. Thanks to Robert for pushing me each round.

  11. Beth says:

All you RX-ers are awesome, and I admire you greatly (I don’t even mind when Tim & Francis fly past me!), but sometimes we old women limping along with lighter weights still get all happy when we make the end of the 3rd column! Go old chicks!

  12. Nancy says:

Funny, I thought the same thing…. Is this the only way I’ll get into the 3rd column??

  13. greg s says:

Nice work Justin…Puttin up a big #! Lookin forward to 9/25
